Refund and Cancellation Policy

1. Overview

This refund and cancellation policy outlines how you can cancel or seek a refund for a product/service that you have purchased through the Platform. At ByteHost, operated by Sayan Roy Chowdhury, we want you to be completely satisfied with our hosting services.

2. 30-Day Money-Back Guarantee

We offer a full 30-day money-back guarantee on all hosting plans. Cancellations will only be considered if the request is made within 30 days of placing the order. If unsatisfied for any reason, request a complete refund within 30 days of purchase — no questions asked. Applies to all plans: Starter, Basic, Pro, Business, and Reseller.

However, cancellation requests may not be entertained if the orders have been communicated to such sellers/merchant(s) listed on the Platform and they have initiated the process of provisioning them.

3. How to Request a Refund

  1. Email support@mail.bytehost.org with subject "Refund Request"
  2. Include your order ID and purchase email
  3. We acknowledge within 24–48 hours
  4. Refunds processed within 5–7 business days after approval
  5. Refund goes to the original payment method

4. Cancellation

ByteHost plans are one-time payments (no subscriptions). You may cancel anytime. Upon cancellation:

  • Account deactivated within 24 hours
  • All data permanently deleted within 30 days
  • Cancellation after 30-day window does not entitle you to a refund

5. After 30 Days

Refunds are not available after the 30-day period. Your hosting remains active indefinitely after payment.

6. Quality Issues

In case of receipt of services that are not as described or have quality issues, please report to our customer service team. The request would be entertained once the Platform Owner has checked and determined the same at its own end. This should be reported within 30 days of receipt of services. In case you feel that the service received is not as shown on the site or as per your expectations, you must bring it to the notice of our customer service within 30 days of receiving the service. The customer service team after looking into your complaint will take an appropriate decision.

7. Exceptions

Refunds will not be issued if:

  • Account terminated for violating Terms of Service or Acceptable Use Policy
  • Request made after 30-day period
  • You previously received a refund (one per customer)
  • Purchased under a non-refundable promotional offer

8. Partial Refunds

We do not offer partial refunds. Refunds within 30 days are for the full amount. Plan downgrades do not entitle you to a difference refund.

9. Data After Refund

Upon refund, all data — websites, emails, databases, FTP files — will be permanently deleted. Download backups before requesting a refund.

10. Refund Processing Time

  • UPI: 1–3 business days
  • Debit/Credit Card: 5–7 business days
  • Net Banking: 5–7 business days
  • Wallet: 1–3 business days

Actual time may vary depending on your bank or payment provider.
